Only if those commieblocks get re-developed or demolished and design-oriented office buildings get built it will for sure. Too bad the low-rises are all uniformly box shaped

Not really, but it's still great!

just got back from Seoul...I don't really get the Manhattan comparison for Yeoui Island (it's got great buildings though)...Gangnam and Teheran Road feels more like Manhattan to me...that is just my opinion of course

Well, even Gangnam can't be compared to Manhatten. At the moment, Seoul doesnt have a proper skyscraper zone with a sea of +200. Maybe this will change in the future.

But I agree that Gangnam can resemble more than Yeoido to Manhatten downtown but the skyscrapers are shorter and the cluster isn't massive.

Yeah, I don't really like the comparisons with NYC either.

NYC is the ultimate skyscraper city which, imo, no other city can even come close to.

Seoul has its own unique look with some nice clusters and mountainous backdrops.

IFC is looking great btw.

Why Seoul has to be a wannabe Manhattan, rather that its own?

Those two cranes peaking up from the Parc One site just make me sad . Not to mention the hole in the skyline that it not being there makes. Yeouido needs that project.

Doesn't IFC comprise several buildings, not just this tall one?

I like the second picture posted by seaniscoming. It shows clearly how unique Seoul is, no Manhattan needs to be mentioned.

Wonderful shots guys. This project is truly something that creates a city. What is the round part at the top, just mechanical or maybe a viewpoint?
