London construction videos
Hi guys
As we're tantalizingly close to the construction of these towers, I've decided to begin a video series that will chart the progress of each site. I figured a good way of doing this would be to catch a bus - from London Bridge to Liverpool Street - and film the journey from the top deck. The route goes through Bishopsgate and past all the major sites, so there are some nice views to be had. You can watch Part 1 of my series below. It's about 8 minutes, or around 89 megabytes:- http://www.willfox.com/videos/skyscr...1march2008.wmv Alternatively, you can view this on my YouTube account, but the quality is obviously much lower - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqUt7uVPZNQ I would strongly recommend viewing the hi-res version, even if it takes a while to download. Also, it's best viewed in "full screen" mode. Anyway, hope this gives a better idea of the various locations etc. for those who've never been to the City. I'll be adding new parts roughly every 3 months. P.S. If you have any London videos of your own, feel free to post them in this thread.

Nice idea - will really help people to get their bearings (and get an idea of just how close all the developments are).
Did you get any funny looks from people? Its not an everyday occurance to see someone filming from the top deck of a bus.

Very good and informative. Was weird for me to recognize some places I went on my visit. Thanks for taking the time to make that.

Good work man!
![]() Next video should be on the street - grab the hottest chick you can find to stand in front of each site and describe how size matters!

![]() In Norwich, partying with my younger brother - we went on a massive pub and bar crawl. I managed to pull a very attractive lady at one of the clubs there. Great town, great nightlife... I'm definitely going back there again some time. Nice cathedral too. ![]() Spent some time with my family in Cambridge as well. There's a massive new shopping centre there. For my birthday we went to Browns, my favourite restaurant in the UK. Quote:

That's execellent Will, so much time and effort.
You should take the No 11 from Liverpool St to Chelsea,( it's the best free site seeing tour in London) and make a simlilar video to sell to the tourist ![]() You'd make a furtune

^ Shopping centre looks great. Changed beyond recognition compared to how it used to be.
One of the shops has a nice aquarium in the window.

Excellent contribution as always! As for the shopping center in Cambridge i think it is good also, nice use of stone (which has been used on another development slightly further down the road), shame about the plastic panels that i feel completely ruin it however!
