Spire? looks more like a fin on a fish...........
atleast it isnt a flat top......... I think the red accents are interesting, to play off of the BAM. |

I'm excited to see this and across the street (next phase of Bellevue Square) break ground. When are the dates???!!!
After this addition, I wonder if Kemper will work the other two corners of Bellevue Square. They're so off the beaten path though. |

Love the rendering of Lincoln Square II! They're sexy!!! I only have one concern about this project. It is seems like they didn't leave some room for Bellevue Art Museum for future expansion.

![]() No, but since BAM moved out of Bell Square, they've settled in comfortably. Someone was bound to purchase the old Safeway land, if not Kemper. I'm sure it was not unexpected. |

Are you sure that BAM moved out? I saw them last three weeks ago but I didn't go inside BAM. BAM building still in the rendering.

No, I was referring to the BAM's move out of the 3rd floor of Bellevue Square a few years ago.

The odds of BAM closing up shop are better than it ever expanding. Does anyone even go there? I feel like it's such a waste of prime property, maybe Kemper can buy them out and they can relocate to the Ashwood district.

True. I'm feeling guilty for haven't had chance to visit BAM yet. I meant I visit SAM and another museums more often. I should make time to check BAM out next time I am in Bellevue.

BAM's building is an ugly waste of space. Tear that mofo down and put that pedestrian corridor to use.

Better still, build a signature restaurant there. Make this the gateway to a restaurant row along the pedestrian corridor and make it all a part of Lincoln Square I/II (for parking). The Galleria people would love this as I wonder how many peds really use this access.

I have been to BAM and I think its great for the neighborhood. Beautiful art is always better than more retail!

Agreed. I just feel it deserves a better location with REAL room to grow. Over by the library sounds great. Slowly make that an arts district.

Only problem is no one wants an arts district. No good arguing about it. It's not going to move, so we might as well fuse arts/retail/entertainment into Kemper Kingdom.

DowntownBellevue.com reported that there is talk that Ritz Carlton will operate the hotel portion of this project. Take this with a grain of salt though because that site doesn't have too much credibility.
With Safeway about two months from moving out and this project moving through the city's design review, I expect to hear an announcement this summer about tenants and a start date. Still crossing my fingers for a SAKS store. |

I was thinking the Ritz would be the hotel component in The Bellevue, across the street.

Does the ritz do anything with fewer than 100 rooms. The bellevue is supposed to be around 46 rooms.

I thought the Bellevue hotel was going to be much larger. It was to be 5 floors in a 3/4 of a circle curve open on the inside to an open air auto court
