Trail parks, the most common types of parks in Singapore. They are always located beside canels and link parks to major roads and housing estates.
![]() ![]() ![]() Housing estates too are very green... ![]()

Would you guys say that Singapore has a very well ordered and maintained flora environment, meaning the lawns of properties are clean and public roads/buildings have clean landscaping.

If you meant cleanliness of roads, MEWR's statutory board - NEA oversees it (i.e. the roads) for those that are under their care (private roads are not included). It would be under respective Town Councils if you are talking about HDB flats. Read about what NEA do here => http://app.nea.gov.sg/cms/htdocs/category_sub.asp?cid=2 Though we have National Parks Board to take care of the garden city, not all greenery is under their care as they could belong to private properties/management. Read about what NParks do here => http://www.nparks.gov.sg/about/about.shtml |

![]() Not surprisingly, a lot is spent on the upkeep and even for private developers I believe they have a minimum standard to comply with regulations on this. |

/\ Toronto defeinetly needs these organizations and regulations. You can visually see the city very slowly falling apart (only outside of downtown).
Our municipality, unfortuanly doesn't have organizations that do a great job of cleaning up. Thats why, I'll be in Singapore after all those new projects get completed

There is... btw, that water hyacinth is different from hyacinthus.
Here's a picture of the water hyacinth in the pond... looks like white cotton from afar because the sunlight was too strong from this angle. ![]() I didn't notice there were 2 ducks at the side till I got home... so sad...
