Pro-Urba has got a construction permission for 126m high skyscraper. That's right - they are going to apply for higher building in april, but they still don't have the permission. So the that's not approved

I guess the project is more than "proposed" now...

Looks nice&interesting..Warsaw is really booming, with so many new towers going up.

(AFAIK there are 4 buildings over 200m proposed/approved and another 6 over 150 m...) If this boom continues, Warsaw will overcome Frankfurt to become 2nd (or 3rd after Paris) best skyline in Europe. Also, i think its a good thing that many of the new towers in Warsaw are residentials, because there haven't been many residential highrises constructed in Europe , except in a few another cities ,most notably London,Rotterdam, Istanbul and Moscow.

This glass tower could be the next residential skyscraper building rising on Warsaw's rapidly maturing skyline.

Named Kaleidoscope after the multitude of views it offers from within, the proposed scheme has been designed by Polish firm Andrzej M. Chołdzyński for Spanish property developer, Pro-Urba, who are busiest outside their home country in Poland.

The scheme will stand off Rondo Daszynskiego in the Wola district of the Polish capital. Rising to a height of about 170 metres, it will contain 53 storeys of residential accommodation and be the first true skyscraper in the area if built.

The design features a sleek glass skinned curving tower with curtain walling offering floor to ceiling windows for occupants. Above the smooth glass of the lower floors, the cladding is gradually raised and indented giving an overall texture that combines over the body of the building to form something resembling a quilted patchwork of varying reflections.

Kaleidoscope is just the latest of a whole collection of tall buildings that have been proposed in Warsaw which includes 8 skyscrapers driving by increasing demand for tall apartment blocks. The biggest of these will be the 282 metre tall Kulczyk.

Pro-Urba hope that if they can secure approval from the local planning authorities they can complete the building for occupation around 2012.

Well they first planned a 126m tower which is already approved however now they are waiting for the building condition documents to be changed to a 170m so it is partially approved...
