Amazing photos!! Really great selection.

Sad how water restrictions as a result of the drought are taking their toll on our Gardens. Alexander Gardens looks really upsetting -- its always been so green and lush.

Melbourne is like Toronto, Montreal, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami and Seattle thrown together in a blender. I see so many scenes that give me deja vu from American and Canadian cities strangely. Good planning.

We looked at mountains until dawn, and then when dawn came, it was too pretty for me - there was pink and blue and gold, in the sky, and on icy places, brilliant pink and gold flashes, and the snow was colored too, and I said," Oh," and sighed; and each moment was more beautiful than the one before; and I said, " I love you, Momma." Then I fell asleep in her arms.
That was happiness then.

Wow! Definitely what a city should look like! Loads of culture, urban flair, public transportation and foot traffic! Buildings that look old and rich and buildings that look modern and innovative. If I ever move to Australia that's where I'm going!

Wow, stunning photos!!! Been to Melbourne a few times myself as my mum used to live there (although back in the UK now) and absolutely love it.

Just one question, when I last went there the Rialto Towers was the tallest building in the southern hemisphere, however there's that massive new building on the south bank. Is that bigger? (message from a newbie).

That new building is called Eureka, 92 floors, 300m, making it the tallest to roof in Australia.
The Rialto was 63 floors, 251.2m.
