Quite Honnestly, I have difficulties to understand how a huge hotel complex such as Abraj Al Bait could be approved so close to Mecca's Great Mosque. I don't question the quality of the building, it's just that it's is so close to the Mosque that it totally dwarves it. The largest tower isn't even built yet and the Mosque's Minarets already look like cotton swabs.

Always love your diagrams CULWULLA...they're the best I've ever seen. Elegant yet easy to understand.

I bet people protested when that Hilton tower straight ahead was built. I bet they said "who wants to see another building over the walls?"

WoW all those crapers!

The world is rising to the sky! I think you have to add some more crpaers in the future. Almost every month there is a new tower of more then 300-350m!

Amazing job Culwulla, really good job

THX for the diagram.

I have never realised before that they are with the cladding of the BD over 400m now.....mhhh next month they do clad exactely a year so we will see a how BIG progress they made...

BTW we live in a such abnormal era heightwise its amazing...we have times now in which 400m isnt a suprising height anymore and where 500m building are first called tall.....

i cant wait for diagrams from you in 2015 or so!

Yes, it's interesting that a commercial development is towering over this most sacred of all Muslim places.
