Thanks for the thread. Current Olympia design is slim and elegant although it looks more like office tower, doesn't have the residential feeling. It is probably mainly the fault of missing balconies. Can't wait for the demolition to start.

As it was said before it looks more like office building, but it's still nice although it seems bit too tall if compared to nearby buildings...

Sure there is another Olympia thread, but that one is mainly Slovak, this is international... We will try to keep you updated in both of them.

Old factories on the plot, still not fully demolished.

Plan of the building complex. Brown-yellow are actual buildings that are being demolished, green are the projected ones. The highrise section is in the bottom right corner of the plot.

And a inner block visualization not posted before:

I am sorry but I don't have any precise dimensions of this project. Maybe when the construction will start they will release them...

The design of the tower is quite ok, though nothing special...
I like the low-rise apartment building , it creates a good feeling of urbanity on street level, and the facade of the low-rise building also has a very good design, IMO its better than that of the tower...

Also, i was wondering if the financial crisis is affecting the construction boom in Bratislava, since so many highrises(esp. residential ones) are U/C or proposed right now... will they all get built, or is there the possibility that some of the projects will be delayed or even cancelled?
