#Construction: Liberty Towers
Here is a rendering of what the Glenelg high-rise building will look like:
![]() The 12 level building is due for completion in 2004 and will become Glenelg's third tallest building, after Stamford Glenelg and Atlantis Tower. The building started consturction several months ago. |

I'm not so sure about that AG, I don't think that Liberty will be taller than the Saltram Tower.

The last time I passed, there was only fencing around the construction. Good to see that they've started progressing.

Time to revive this thread.
I'm probably going to take some pics today. So be on the lookout for pics of it's construction. |

Damn, came back with no photos. Here is what I saw though:
Crane on site Excavation going on Very busy in Glenelg this afters. There was a fair on, causing heaps of traffic both on the roads and footpaths, worse than Sydney footpaths. |

You mean actually cranes that are put up in sections, or the ground level cranes?

I saw on the news last night footage of Adelaide Airport and in the background there was a large tower crane, a yellow one I think. I'm sure it was recent footage cos the Pier and Holdfast were complete.

AG - Do you even have a camera?
Pikey - I doubt they would have erected the tower crane already, because I inspected the construction site last week, and to me it didn't look ready for the erection of the tower crane. But I remember the last time I made a comment like this, it was about the Law courts, and the next day they erected the crane, so hopefully there's a crane at Glenelg. |

Will - I have a cam, but I'm not allowed to use it.
![]() I might get down to Glenelg asap to see if pikey is correct. Has anyone seen the big model of Liberty Towers at the shop next to Oyster Bar near the construction site yet? I saw it a few months ago. It is open on Saturday between 4-6pm. |
