Gdansk - city in northern Poland, situated on the Baltic shore, near the mouth of Vistula River. One of the main Polish sea ports.
Population: in the city: 460 000, in Tricity (Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot): 750 000 in the metro area: more than million people. Not many highrises but lots of historic towers. Enjoy and vote!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm giving 7.5/10 - not many highrises, but historical "skyline" is awesome!

5.5/10 for skyline. only a couple of scrapers, with some church spires.

I can't believe that Gdansk has TGI Fridays! I don't think TGI Fridays is a good representative of American food.
The skyscraper portions of the city, like the area around the TGI Fridays/ Holiday Inn, are ugly. The best parts are the ones where there are no commercialist structures. Just traditional vernacular buildings, which evoke Europe and not the outskirts of an American city. |

The Gdansk skyline would please me infinitely much more without those boxy highrises.

Beautiful looking city, which I think the ugly 60's buildings??? are destroying. The best part of the skyline is the churches and old houses, needs to have a better defined collection of highrises that do not detract from the rest of the city to get better points for a skyline. |
