Centennial Bowl Interchange, Las Vegas

Ground was broken recently on the 'Centennial Bowl Interchange' in northwestern Las Vegas. This is where US 95 and County Road 215 meet. CC-215 is one of the few county-maintained freeways in the U.S.

Guys, we are travelling in the Mojave region right now, and I'd like to read some quick opinions.

How dangerous, or not, is it to drive near the Mexican border, always on paved roads, such as CA-98 between Calexico and I-8; or the local paved roads in and around Jacumba Springs and Campo Indian Reservation? It would be daytime drive only. Would CBP border checkpoints be much of a hassle in these secondary roads, as in taking too long every time we encounter one? Are these areas dangerous to stop and check the landscape or else?

We are a tourist couple travelling (legally, of course) on foreign passports and a car with Colorado plates.

A nice photo with zoom of Austin Boulevard in Dayton, Ohio. The first intersection is in fact a CFI.

I'm not from the area, but I don't see why it should be a problem. Ask at a local gas station or restaurant-that's generally the best alternative.

frankly, it`s your right to go there so do as you wish !

Criminality is a certain problem on the MX side of the border, but the US is fine.

US 301, Delaware

A major project in the making is the new US 301 toll road in Delaware. It will run from the Virginia state line to the SR-1 toll road just south of the bridge across the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal.

They have just approved a loan of $ 211 million to construct the toll road. The total cost is $ 470 million, which seems quite expensive for a 10 mile toll road through flat terrain with apparently not much demolition required. The alignment shows the toll road avoiding the subdivisions.

Construction is planned to start in January 2016 and be completed by 2018.
