Highway 610, Minnesota

Governor Dayton and Lt. Governor Smith Celebrate Completion of the Highway 610 Project

Governor Mark Dayton and Lt. Governor Tina Smith today celebrated the upcoming completion of Highway 610 in Maple Grove, a 30-year-long project to connect commuters from the northwest suburbs with Interstate 94. The connection is expected to spur further economic growth and opportunity throughout the northwest Twin Cities metro, while also serving as a relief valve for rush hour traffic on Interstate 94.

The first segment that extended Highway 610 between Highway 25 and the junctions of Highway 47 and Highway 10 was completed in 1986. Since then, four more segments have been built to bring the highway to its final junction with Interstate 94. Work on the expansion of Highway 610 between Elm Creek Boulevard and Interstate 94 in Maple Grove began in the fall of 2014. It is expected to complete by mid-November.
Full press release: http://mn.gov/governor/newsroom/#/de...Id/1/id/260880

So the MN-610 freeway now connects to I-94 northwest of Minneapolis, thereby linking it to I-35W.

101 is one of the most beautiful roads to drive, just surpassed by Hwy1 with its coastal views, I've done it once I could do it again every weekend if I had too.

This won't be an expressway; it will be a boulevard. But this will provide an overpass over the railroad on the west side of town. Some limited access portions would've been nice, whether with this or Scarborough Road.

Connector road could give Dover a boost

Since the West Dover Connector was put on the Delaware Department of Transportation’s official projects list in 2015, it has become different things to different people.

Dover Mayor Robin Christiansen and other city officials see the 3.2-mile roadway as a great economic development and marketing tool for the city. He believes it will help lead to a renaissance for the west side of Dover and bring more business and jobs to the city.

...

The project is located on the southwestern side of Dover and to the north of Camden and Wyoming. It starts in the vicinity of the Rodney Village Shopping Center on U.S. 13, travels in a northwesterly direction and ends at the existing intersection of North Street and Saulsbury Road, according to DelDOT. Construction on those roads to accommodate additional through and turning lanes as needed for projected traffic volumes has been ongoing.

DelDOT officials say the roadway section will be that of a boulevard approach, with one lane in each direction with shoulders, a grass median and multi-modal facilities throughout the project limits. Bicycle facilities will be provided on the roadway shoulder in addition to a shared use path.

This might be OOT...

Is there a bridge (or are there bridges) in Seattle which use the Sosrobahu technique?

SH 130, Austin, Texas

A 20 mile stretch of SH 130 will be expanded to six lanes, starting in 2018. A separate project will add flyovers at the US 290 interchange.

SH 45, Austin, Texas

Nearly 30 years in the making, construction on SH 45SW Toll starts

It has taken about 30 years, but today construction on the SH 45 Southwest Project officially started.

SH 45SW will be the new 3.6-mile toll road, with two lanes in each direction; connecting MoPac eastward to the improved FM 1626 in Hays County. The project will feature extensive water quality protection measures as well as bicycle and pedestrian facilities.

Officials with the CTRMA say the construction should take about three years before it’s completed.

The final segment of the 'South Lawrence Trafficway' (K-10) opens to traffic today in Kansas. It's a freeway.

Are there any plans to bury US-75 under a park like they did TX-366 and help downtown be more connected to outside of its Freeway box?

I doubt it since 75 is elevated going through downtown.

And hence the question of a change to a buried section.
