Semi-unTOTSO interchange near Martin, Tennessee. State Highway 22 gets priority over US 45E, and Main Street, with two different route numbers, gets priority over everything. US 45E narrows to one lane in eah direction through the interchange, and northbound the lane is dropped by means of a left exit.

I did.

The arch bridge on that ramp--- is it a real bridge or a blind arcade? And the fake stone on the right-- I presume that it's an aesthetic treatment for a shotcreted embankment.

Nederland, CO is in the hills just west of the Denver-Boulder area. I was there during a roadtrip in the mid-1990s.

Really? If you said it was New Mexico or Montana I would've believed that right away...

(I knew it was in Colorado by the way, I stumbled upon it searching for traffic cams in Colorado).

Really. You can find similar scenery in both Montana and New Mexico, but Colorado is very unusual in using all-uppercase Series E (not the more usual all-uppercase Series C, Series D, or a mixture of the two) for conventional highway signing. Montana, as it happens, is another state which uses Series E for conventional highway signing, but it formats its city limit signs differently and does not mention the elevation. Plus, I think Colorado is the only Rocky Mountain state where the Texas triangular slip base (which you can see in this photo) is in wide use.

Thanks for the pics, Nexis! Yes, I did like them very much.

I somehow find these NJ expressways very interesting. Can't wait to see more.

I gotta say the pavement thickness is rather small in the U.S. Is this standard?
