Thanks. Yours are awesome as always.
These are pics from around the newly developing areas of western areas of Birmingham and Jefferson County
US 11/AL 5 North

The Birmingham skyline can on most days can be seen from this point

Intersection with 9th Street

Academy Dr @ I-20/59

McAdory School Rd (County Rd 24)

Old Tuscaloosa Hwy (County Rd 20) This was the old US 11 route until the sometime in the mid 1950's

Powder Plant Rd (County Rd 47)

Intersection of Powder Plant @ Bessemer-North Johns Rd (county rd 47 @ county rd 36) Also interesting to note that the projected route of the Northern Beltline is about 1/4 mile west of this point.

It is. If I wanted to, I could leave my doors unlocked at night.

By just looking at the pictures most people wouldnt think that its part of a county that has a population 650,000.

Nice vid.

The early part shows SB on the Alaska Way viaduct, which will be replaced in one or another during the next five years, unless Seattle politicians delay it again, which is entirely a possibility.

No, it's Lee Highway.

There are dozens of Lee Highways in Virginia, it's nearly always best to refer to a "Lee Highway" as its route designation.

Very interesting as usual!

a quick question: NJ has quite an impressive network of expressways, but not all are marked as such on most maps (including google maps) e.g. Rt17, 4, 23, etc.
Do you have a map that shows them as expressways? If they're depicted as regular state routes you can't tell them apart unless you're a local.

There not true expressways , they have traffic lights and stores on them , so there basically Major Roads with some highway features.

I note that there is an 'I-86' shield on an overhead BGS in one of those images. Is that there in error or has that part of NY 17 officially become I-86? I am aware that NYSDOT only has one or two short parts to go before all of NY 17 is fully up to interstate standards and that it already is I-86 at least as far east as Elmira.
