good question and I have no idea, we dont know to much about his sort of thing
check www.structures.com i think and they have dams, tunnels, towers etc

There's some towers on the farm road between Heidelberg & Wakerville in the Vaal, & there is some flippin TALL towers on that road, wont be surprised if its one of them.

While I haven't seen any of those towers near Heidelberg and as such can't compare, the Alverstone tower is pretty tall too.

those two are big, but compared to some of the other transmitter towers they are small. dont forget those are big concrete structures, the others are just metal structures. would be interesting to find out which is.

typicaly guy masted towers are taller than free standing structuures so I would deffinaly theink there are 250m plus transmission towers somewhere in SA

Heres the google view of them, as you can see from the shadows, they are pretty tall. ![]() Its just outside Meyerton when heading towards Hiedelberg. Meyerton is the town circled in Red.

LOL, well I should drive past these things atleast twice a year before, so thats why it caught my attention. plus I knew the location of it, so wasnt hard to find it on google earth.
