The Clock Tower (Big Ben) | London, UK
314 ft., 96 m
Completed: 1859 - The four faces of the clock are 23 feet square; the minute hand is 14 feet long and the figures are 2 feet tall. Minutely regulated with a stack of coins placed on the huge pendulum, the clock is an excellent timekeeper, which has rarely stopped. - The nickname "Big Ben" actually refers to the 13.5 ton bell at the top of The Clock Tower, which was named in honour of the first commissioner of works, Sir Benjamin Hall.

Is not a skyscraper, but is a really important classic building, it is hard to rate it because it is a symbol, but i don't like it.
So, i give it an 8/10 only for its importance as a icon of the world's history.

London's best landmark, without question ... http://www.zooish.com/bigben_wav.wav http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/wavworld/email/bigben.wav I absolutely love counting down the seconds on New Year's Eve, watching it live on TV, then you hear the chimes going at precisely 12 o'clock ... just fantastic. 10/10 without doubt a stunner. The way the gold bits glisten in the sun is amazing and its fame adds to its score too
