Nice pictures, but to be honest these are the typical tourist spots.
I mostly see people taking pictures from the city centre and almost never from Berlins many other districts which oftentimes are busier, but I guess most tourists usually never get there because theyre too far out.

I agree. Mitte has the tendency to feel a little empty.

My favourite area of Berlin is Prenzlauer Berg.

^ How affordable is it these days? A buddy of mine moved there some years ago and owns a 110sqm appartment now (the price per sqm was like 600€ if I remember correctly).

Anyway - Fantastic shots dklicous! I don't think these are just tourist shots. You don't get to see Tiergarten quite often in Berlin threads, as well as half of these buildings.

Would be great if you could post these ones in the German forum as well

Do you have some more shots anyway? Of Prenzlberg, Museum island, Oranienburger, Friedrichstraße, Pfaueninsel, Spandau, Grunewald, Charlottenburg (esp. the castle and KuDamm), Pankow, Wannsee or the Havel area?

Aren't you asking too much?

Anyway, great pics, very artistic shots. And where did you go for that view of pic 19? Is that from up above in the Siegessäule? I have to go there!

I took some pics of Berlin today and yesterday, 3 districts, 3 completely different cities! I love this in Berlin!

Thanks people!

Finally I've found a few minutes to answer your questions, although I'm not able to supply y'all with new photos yet. Currently, my abitur examinations (similar to A-levels or high school diploma) are directly imminent. Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

Alphaville, I'm really happy for you! Actualy, I'm sure there'll be plenty of splendid projects under construction while you're in Berlin. In 2010, the Berlin City Castle will be U/C, probably as well as the Zoofenster (119m) and the Alexa office tower (150m). So do you have any idea where to live exactly? There are plenty of lively quarters in Berlin, it just depends how and where you want to live.

Skyboi, just go ahead and visit us!

fettekatz, you caught me quite clueless right there. It was taken right after I started my trip through Berlin, somewhere around Lietzenburger Straße in Charlottenburg-Friedrichshain. While writing this, I eventually found the building. It's located in Passauer Straße. If you look at maps.live.de (Passauer Straße, Berlin), you can recognize those two buildings. By the way, cool that you live in Prenzlauer Berg, I'll live 9-11 months in Weißensee from August on.

GNU, I agree that some of those photos represent the typical touristic spots. Despite this, I haven't seen much pictures of the Tiergarten on SSC, plus I'll add more street scenes and maybe unknown insights later.

Erbse, thanks for your feedback mate. I'm afraid I have to disappoint you regarding the photos from Spandau, Charlottenburg, Wannsee, the Havel area etc.. Unfortunately, I only had one day this time. As I'll move to Berlin in August, there will be a bunch of new photos every month. I'll post a similar thread in the German forum as soon as all the picture series is completed.

schmidt, go ahead and post them! How do you like Berlin so far by the by?
Correct, photos 19-22 are taken from the top of the Siegessäule. Don't tell me you haven't been there already! Grab your cam and get there asap!

Berlin is truly marvelous and extremely underrated as a 'city'.

******* AMAZING.

But where are the trendy, hip, liberal thinking areas that I know Berlin for?
