Very good pictures specially those taken in winter time. I wouldn't go in winter time if I can avoid it, although.

While It's true it can not be called "a budget hotel" Its worth for taking a good rest, specially if you don't have a korea visa or you want stay at the airport when between long flights.

looking forward to visiting this airport!

Looks cold in those shots in winter. I love the look and design of this airport and i'm planning to visit South Korea next summer. Looking forward to seeing this great airport in person.

anyway, thanks for the info guys. i am sure Incheon airport will have something for my situation! looking forward to visiting this airport!
That's an interesting subject; how many airports have a solution for passangers that are stranded on a stop-over? Almost (all?) airport hotels are outside the gates. If your stuck inside, you are confined to chairs and sofas.

Or does any airport have an hotel inside the gates?

Will all check-ins still be at the current entry? Seems like a long way to go from there to the new terminal.

Would appear the check-in would be processed at the NEW Terminal...

I don't know the total area of the zone you highlighted, but it looks it'll be as large as the current terminal, and be able to handle over 50 million passengers. That would boost total capacity to over 100m, if I'm right of course.

Incheon International Airport wins awards every year for being one of the top airports in the world, and its duty free shops are now proving no exception.

The U.S. edition of "Business Traveller" recently named it among the best airports in the world for duty free shopping. The shops, which are jointly operated by local businesses, have also earned the top honor from the Asia-Pacific edition of the magazine for two consecutive years.

The magazine praised them for combining traditional Korean culture with state-of-the-art facilities to make for a more customer-friendly environment.

The two runways on the right, are they far enough apart from another to be operated independently? (I suspect not, but thought I'd ask)

Well your header is wrong as only INTERNATIONAL numbers are up by 12%! If you include domestic it's prob heaps less, around 5% or so? (sorry, didn't do the numbers)

As of now if I'm not totally sure on the distance between them.

Wrong. Look at the numbers. International itself is up by 12.2%, total by 12.1%.

I am! But I don't believe that only 39,500 domestic passengers travelled through ICN! Instead it should be 39.5 million!! Therefore overall pax growth is only 6.2% to be exact!

I think you made the same mistake as the author of the press article and forgot that it should read millions.
