It was the first time I've actually walked through there, and while I agree it is a little "sterile" right now, it just seems way too early to make any judgement until a bit more of the masterplan is complete. I can see it being a brilliant area and very well patronaged once a few more apartments, retail and offices open up.

That is what it looks like, it is basically surrounded by water, a touch strange actually.
As for the kicking a ball comment, there is more open parkland to come.

The land surrounding the skyring is owned by FKP. They are building an apartment complex there called "gasworks" (commencement is a little way off yet).
This area will be superb when done. I'd love to live in Pier South. |

Pier South Penthouse went for around 10 million according to Mirvac. The walk in wardrobe is apparently the size of a small studio apartment.

$14.25 million, I thought it was around 14 but thought in my head that it would be too much.

Guys there are two FKP DA's recently lodged.
this one is for shops within the gasometer: http://pdonline.brisbane.qld.gov.au/...key=A003100956 and this is for mixed use development surrounding the gasometer: http://pdonline.brisbane.qld.gov.au/...key=A003096445 Does someone have the time to load images of these two?

Looks good. It says in the DA that there's a cinema proposed here. I can't seem to find the documents that have it.

I'm thinking the cinema might be a reference to the large TV screen (at least I'm assuming that's what it is) seen in the first render perhaps? Would that fall under the 'cinema' use?

I think you're right bout the cinema cause the building in the gasometer is no where near big enough for the cafe and a cinema. Mixed use towers look alright, fairly glassy which is nice. On the last diagram it says temporary carpark at F, does that mean they are going to build something there when construction is finished or does it mean short term carparking for customers and stuff?

Given that Woolworths have signed up for the supermarket space in building E, how long do the developers sit on this before they start construction? Is there a timetable that Woolies would ask to be followed?

You could loosely call it an "outdoor cinema"...

Wow, such a waste of an awesome opportunity with the gasometer. The whole thing look very kitch. Not very fitting in with the rest of the classy buildings of the riverpark. Energex is my favourite building in bris and pier north and south are awesome. Hopefully its just the way they rendered it..
