There is a clip where greg chappel seems to introduce the head quarters of the super rich BCCI, and believe me its a shocker. There should already have been new commercial skyscrapers owned by tatas, ambanis, infosys, and other fortune 1000 companies. Makes me wonder where do these people work who pay 30-40 crores for the new and old spunky apartments.
Why are you surprised?

Shocking in what sense?

Can you post the video from youtube here?

Lets all see it.

I think India Inc is still operating from mostly the Fort area of Mumbai as Tata, Ambani's have their headquarters there & their operations (offices) spread out India? Although why do all corporates need fancy buildings? Just because your a rich company do you have to work in a glass skycraper?

Infosys, Wipro, etc have their trendy campuses spread out like a park in Pune, Bangalore, Hyderbad, Kolkata, Mysore etc, so at least they are not hiding.

Perhaps Tata are hiding under the true wealth and dont want to flaunt it?

Ok!! There is a double treat from Indiabulls. Indiabulls Sky Suites is going to be built in the neighborhood of Indiabulls Sky. Could this be the Elphinstone Mills Tower? I don't think there is any other Indiabulls highrise in the close vicinity apart from Elphinstone Mills Tower that matches Indiabulls Sky.

It's going to be built at the Elphinstone Mills. Here's IPIT's announcement at Singapore stock exchange:

Quote:
LAUNCH OF RESIDENTIAL COMPONENT AT INDIABULLS FINANCE CENTRE

Launch of Residential Component

Further to Unitholders’ approval, at an extraordinary general meeting of unitholders of IPIT on 29 September 2009, of the expansion of the principal objectives of Indiabulls Properties Investment Trust (“IPIT”) which allows IPIT the flexibility to develop office, retail, residential and/or hospitality components in its portfolio (with at least the majority1 comprising income-producing office space), Indiabulls Property Management Trustee Pte. Ltd., as trustee-manager of IPIT (the “Trustee- Manager”), wishes to announce that a residential component will be launched on 4 October 2009 for sale by IPIT at Indiabulls Finance Centre under the brand name of “Indiabulls Sky Suites”. This is in addition to the launch of the residential component at One Indiabulls Centre under the brand name of “Indiabulls Sky” on 23 August 2009, which was announced by the Trustee-Manager on 22 August 2009.

Consistent with other similar launches of residential projects in Mumbai, other details of the launch such as the exact price for each unit and the total area of the project have not been fixed and will be influenced by the interest of purchasers as well as the success of the launch, and the total area of the project would be subject to receipt of approvals from the relevant regulatory authorities. Where appropriate, the Trustee-Manager will provide relevant updates in its quarterly results announcements.

(as trustee-manager of Indiabulls Properties Investment Trust)

I just received a brochure of Sky Suites from a guy in IB. The brochure quality is rather poor (cos it's scanned), something that was unexpected from IB. anyhow, presenting to you Indiabulls Sky Suites:

render:

location:

It looks like Sky Forest will be located to the right of Sky in the Jupiter Mills compound.

configurations:

footprint:

Lobby:

The brochure can be viewed here --> clicky

From LERA's website -

Quote:
This project consists of a multi building development. The scope includes a design for the Sky Suites, a 75 story, 810 ft (247 m) tower that will contain apartments, parking and related amenity in a 1,830,800sf (170,000sm) building envelope. Other parcels to be developed for residential use include the Sky Tower, which will stand at a height of 945 ft (288 m) when completed.

They also mention that the architects are seattle based Callison Architecture. Keep an eye on their website ->http://www.callison.com/ for quality renders
