Until the construction of Oberoi Skyz 65 storey twin-towered Oberoi Skyz late last year, two of Mumbai's biggest property developers were in a competition to build Mumbai's tallest all-residential building: SD Corporation with their Imperial Twin Towers, and Lodha group with their signiature tower Bellissimo.

The design is in view of the Indian ocean, and reflects it in the gently-contoured sea-wave inspired façade and a wave-like roof element. It's location right next to the Mahalaxmi racecourse offer unrestricted and breathtaking views of the ocean.



Constructed on the former Apollo Mills, Lodha Bellissimo can properly be called Mumbai's first "garden" skyscraper. Perched on a podium covered in gardens and cascading waterfalls, in a lush 18800 sq m landscaped plot of which 94% of the area is comprised of jungles, gardens, reflecting pools and water fountains including a serene Hindu temple set in the middle of the forest, the aim is to bring the lushness of the Indian jungle to a resort-like residential enviroment.





Bellissimo will have a unique Sky Garden every fourth level. The Sky Gardens feature dense foliage of exotic and native flora and even fauna (with birds nests for parrots, humming birds) developed by biologists that aims to strengthen local ecological diversity.



The complex also includes a club with spas, swimming pools, athletic centres, yoga and meditation halls, and a well stocked library. The flats themselves are fully automated with some of the world's most advanced security systems.

The project has already broken ground, and completion is expected by 2009. However, it, unlike SD Corporation's Imperial Towers, was robbed of its 'Mumbai's tallest tower' title well before it hit the 10th storey in construction.

This tower has been under construction for ever, I think they started more or less at the same time as Sheth Bueamonde which is nearly getting completed and this one there are hardly any updates

nice. BTW. reflect the sea wave?? More like reflect the '60s commie block architecture with some glass work.

someone has to show Mr Kapadia (hopefully not Dimple) the architecture of proposed 80-F waves tower. That truly reflects the sea wave.

55 Crores bullshit I mean right now south Mumbai real estate prices are somewhere around 35,000-40,000 Rs. per sq. ft. As I calculated it comes up to aprrox. 10 crores for 2,500 sq. ft

beaumonde in worli is selling at 40,000 a sq.ft. ncpa is selling at 1,00,000 a sq.ft. deluxe buildings with extra facilities will command near the top-end

none of these flats will be 2,500 sq.ft., most above 5,000. flats are probably 25-30 crores upwards, with the larger ones above 50

Look at the picture with the barricades....you can't see any construction but the barricades with the diagrams of Lodha Bellisimo point to the fact that it is being built.
Hooray for this skyscraper for actually being built .
It's not the best but it will do.

There website says that its now 48 floors. So it its now 648. Was that the original hight.

48 is number of residential floors. The structure itself will have 50+ floors when you add 48 to the podium and parking floors.
