this multi million dollar baby is an incredible structure for sure! I wonder how the owner will take sleep in this highly expensive home.

the $43B is not lying in some banks! That's the total worth of all of the assets he owns. And Reliance is also spending heavily on multitude of business in India, which provides employment to tens of thousands.

$2 billion home
An Indian industrialist is building the world's first billion-dollar home, which actually will cost $2 billion, according to a story in Forbes (complete with pictures).

The owner, Mukesh Ambani, is head of Mumbai-based petrochemical giant Reliance Industries, and the fifth richest man in the world, with an estimated net worth of $43 billion, according to Forbes.

He, his wife and their three children currently live in a 22-story Mumbai tower that the family has spent years remodeling. Their new home, scheduled for completion in January, will be a 27-story, 400,000-square-foot skyscraper in downtown Mumbai.

No two floors are alike in either plans or materials used, according to Forbes. "If a metal, wood or crystal is part of the ninth-floor design, it shouldn't be used on the eleventh floor, for example."

The home's shape "is based on Vaastu, an Indian tradition much like Feng Shui that is said to move energy beneficially through the building by strategically placing materials, rooms and objects."
