MARG science park coming up at swarnabhoomi

http://news.chennaionline.com/chenna...0593e2034d.col

MARG Limited, India’s leading diversified infrastructure development company, today announced the setting up of the MARG Science Park, a world class facility for cutting edge research in life sciences technologies, at MARG Swarnabhoomi.

The foundation stone for the Science Park was laid by Dr. Rajendra Kumar Pachauri, Chief, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change; Director General, TERI; & Head - Yale Energy and Climate Institute.

MARG Science Park will be spread over 40 acres and would house world class ready-to-use wet laboratory space for research in various sectors of life sciences such as biotechnology, biopharmaceuticals, contract research, nanotechnology, agri–technology, medical devices etc.

Yesterday (Sept 18th) MARG Swarnabhoomi launched Maha Utsav. I think, the features & amenties are the same, except the floor rise is high (8 floors) and the elevation is different. The sizes are also good to live. They are quoting 1599/- INR per sft.

Recently, when I again re-read the agreement of my booked apartment (H Block), it states that the Township Amenities charges is 1,25,000/- INR. Is this not a general common Amenties Charges. Why this charge is differing from one who has booked 2BHK and 2 BHK+, and 3BHK? This price is quoted as variable per unit? Why? Any reason for it?

Moreover, the H Block is still to start the plinth work. And I am looking for SBI loan. All other associated banks have approved it, and SBI is still not approved. MARG says its in final stage. Will it get approved.

By the way, which bank do you feel is the best in terms with MARG. To my knowledge, the banks that are tied up with MARG are HDFC, Andhra Bank, India Bulls, SBI, Federal Bank.

Finishing school promises to bridge skill gaps

http://ibnlive.in.com/news/finishing...38-60-120.html

CHENNAI: MARG, the Satellite city in the making that sits mid way between Chennai and Pondicherry on the ECR, nestled between water bodies and greenery, perhaps has another reason to celebrate. On Monday, they formally launched Exemplarr Worldwide’s new state-of-the-art operations facility and finishing school at the Amrita Research and Innovation Park in MARG Swarnabhoomi.
Lakshmi Narayanan, vice-chairman, Cognizant Technology Solutions, who inaugurated the facility, said, “In this age of globalisation, there is a huge demand for quality talent. When students come out of the colleges, they lack the necessary skill sets that are required to productively contribute at workplace. This model of finishing school comes at the right time and we need more such initiatives to capitalise on the happening global free movement of talent.”
Exemplarr Worldwide, launched in 1999 offering KPO and BPO services, has come up with this finishing school that proposes to bridge the gap between skill sets produced by the universities and the skill expectations of the industry. Ranjini Reddy, MD, Exemplarr Worldwide, spelling out the strategy for the finishing school, said, “Taking stock of the demand for training these days in the market, we have planned to adopt a three-tier model. First, we will devise our own training programmes offered by our trainers. The second, the corporates can opt for our training programs and we can customise for them. The third model, we can lease out space and they can bring in their own trainers and modules.”
GRK Reddy, chairman and MD, MARG Group, said, “The coming of Exemplarr Worldwide with this facilty will add a boost to the MARG eco system, where people can live, work and have a lifestyle that is sustainable. It will also enhance their productivity.”

What happened to their grandiose buildings? All I get to see is low cost apartment complexes which are far from being futuristic. I hope Marg does not disappoint me as I had great hopes on their plans.

I visited the MARG swarnabhoomi after the recent launch of Ayush project and have few queries.

On the registration part its was told 99yrs lease. I went through this complete thread but couldn't clarifed yet how it will work. Can someone please explain what happens after 99yrs although they specify its renewable lease?

Apart from that is MARG provide any delay charges if the project delayed ?

Its in Chennai thread because it was advertised as "New Chennai".

I have to disagree in moving this thread to Pondicheri. Its exactly in between Chennai & Pondicheri. So how will u justify your question? At the max could be moved to TN threads instead of Chennai thread.

It is inside TN, then how can it be in Pondicherry thread?

Its around 70-80 km from Central rly station. I think its 100% fine to have it in Chennai thread!

Recent news says there's plan to include upto MM Nagar in CMA.. Then this will become like satellite town to Chennai..

+1. Anything < 100 km radius is State Capital Region or Greater Chennai

No one knows what is the exact definition of New Chennai.

Some realtors advertise Sriperumpudur area as New Chennai and some Maraimalai nagar/Mahindra world city area as New Chennai.

Here area 30 KM after Mahabalipuram is mentioned as New Chennai

It is actually 95 Km from Chennai central (it is 80 km from Thiruvanmiyur and I am assuming 15 km between Thiruvanmiyur and central). Infact it is a further 20 km from Kalpakkam. It is more like Maduranthagam on GST road than MM Nagar.

Of course I am not against this thread in Chennai forum but for me imagining anything outside Mahabalipuram - Chengalpet - SPD as Chennai is a stretch.

As per your chronicle It took 60 years to get Mahabalipuram in to Greater Chennai's "imaginary" limits, It will probably take another 60 Yrs to get MARG Swarnabhoomi as outskirts of Chennai.

Until then I propose we move this thread to Pondicheri.

I dont think this joint will even grow even as.

May be good Idea to have a holiday home - spending a week end once every three months on the way to Pondicheri sounds good.
