MAHALAXMI | Planet Godrej | 181 m | 51 fl | Completed
X-posted from my thread in the international forum
========================================================== Planet Godrej -- Mahalaxmi, Mumbai ![]() ![]() An iconic series of residential towers coming up in Mahalaxmi, Planet Godrej, developed by Godrej Construction, is one of Mumbai's first towers breaking the 50 story mark. The tower is actually five towers of 51 stories connected together, and are marketed as Celesta, Strata, Electra, Aqua and Terra -- which I presume are being named after what the developer feels modern day subjects of the Roman Empire would presumably call the base elements, if they could. ![]() ![]() The project is designed by DP Architects, Singapore, and are is of the first towers to come on former mill land -- in this case Simplex Mills. --------==--=--==-------- Some u/c pics from 2006 by mobile_geographies @ flickr, taken from former India United mill: ![]() ![]() Late 2006: Quote:

I think P godrej is a deceptive design. Its one of those towers thats going to turn out into real beauty once completed.
we gotta wait till all the cladding & glass goes up. Its a curvy massive architecture & as great as residential building can get. believe me. Planet Gordrej is a far cry from Lodha bellisimo. Now thats ugly. ![]() Godrej renderings are too deceptive. we'll have to wait 'n see. |

PG is 45 floors and not 51
Guys recheck the floorcount: it's 45 and not 51 storey tall building.

wow, I didn't realize that that was planet godrej when I saw it on flickr.Anyways Godrej properties has uploaded (or were they there since the start of construction?) some new renderings. Looks like they've dropped the plan to add colors. Front view ![]() ![]() Rear view ![]() ![]() more here Quote:

this is no good. Why cut corners once u/c
leave it as it is. I guess when they design, it looks within the budget. but once it gets u/c by that time, inflations forces these stupid cutting corners stuff. ![]() Imperial towers did that with ever modifying design. Godrej doing the same thing.

We should never take renderings seriously as we know they will change the design, floors etc.

Its about time this kachrapatti be removed. It makes even a million $ property look like a ghetto.
