I've started loving the building!!!! It is the most modern and best looking secretariat in the country!!!!

Especially the Public Plaza, one should see it in person.. its really breathtaking. I tried to go inside and take pictures, but our friendly (I mean it) policemen said photography is not allowed inside, but recommended to take pictures from outside the walls.

Sometimes when seeing things like this, I feel so powerless and hellpless.

Everyone acting according to their own whims and fancies.

I hope the govt employees working in the secratariat protest and stop the movement. Only now, a huge amount of stuff has been moved from fort to the new place. Now again, the whole thing has to startall over again.

Let Amma make some minor changes to the building for her Ego's sake and continue with the new building.

If she starts out to be too egoistic again , i don't think she will win. The complete five years agenda will be only vengeance then. Even metro will be under fire then.

Before coming to power, it's too much. It's high time to hold ego war at the cost of public money. I was in wish for her return, but by seeing such irresponsible acts, i think "intha naatukku oru vidivey kidayatha?!?"

If only she talked in terms of what development work she would do for the state and important cities - but it is the same egotistical nonsense. When most of the major cities have built airport and what not, we folks have to be content with nonsensical leaders wasting time and public money indulging in whimsical acts - letting go of opportunities to improve the lot of the public. The country has been changing drastically but the state is stuck with idiots at the helm.

Hope they don't reverse the metro project.

As for whimsical acts, we will sure see plenty of that (from amma or thatha), but she was consistent in opposing this assembly move and has always maintained that she will move it back to koattai, so this is not surprising.

You should remember the past about naming of Dindukkal and Kanchipuram districts after Anna, or formation, revocation and re-formation of Ariyalur district for an example of whimsical.

The building looks great except for the signange. Poor Germans didn't know our folks can put an angle frame & neon and in one stroke they spoiled the facade. Every damn guy knows it is Assembly building why to have such a neon lettering. May be it is kept to wade off evil eyes (Kan Dhistii).

sshhh, kalaignaraE parthu, design / architect / supervise / chitthal job ellam senji kattinathu. Talk with "pagutharivu" here. Neon lights and signboards are not to wade off evil eyes which very anti-rationalistic. It's Kalengar's design which is above and beyond what germans (heck even tamilians) can comprehend or think of
