Something which Gurgaon desperately needed in my opinion , give the
recent spate of robberies and murders and general state of anarchy at times , this is a much needed step.

'Gurgaon is the place to be in today, tomorrow'

As told by Navin M Raheja, Managing Director, Raheja Developers in the Financial Express.

Quote:
Today, Gurgaon, the commercial capital of Haryana, and one of the most sought after destinations for multinational companies and corporates, has become the cyber city of the North. These developments have attracted us and through our efforts we hope we can help the city grow into nothing less than any other world-class place in the world. Something like Dubai or Singapore, in times to come.

Gurgaon has well-balanced infrastructure and is planned beautiful. Moderate living and luxury living both are possible here, due to the kind of uniform developments taking place across the city. This provides global living standards and international level business centres and IT parks.

Real estate developments here are expected to grow at great speed, making it the destination of the future for all. This could easily be envisaged from the increasing number of new business and residential housing coming up in the city.

Another big plus point for this city is its nearness to the international airport in New Delhi. This has encouraged a lot of construction activity by several leading construction companies. This has also helped the city to attract more FDIs and encouraged strategic investors from across the globe to look forward to becoming partners in the growth process.

Shopping malls are the latest addition in the city which has made Gurgaon a preferred destination for retailers. These malls house leading brands, cinema halls and theatres that provide for an interesting shopping experience. There are hotels, service apartments and schools of international repute to support the standard.

All this was primarily possible because of the government’s initiatives and key functions. These include providing public service and taking on the responsibility of setting up all the developmental activities. The efficient team has rejuvenated the look of the city at par with some of the best standards in urban developments with the announcement of the new masterplan this year.

New and wider roads, allocation of more areas for residential, commercial, SEZ and infrastructure purposes on the agenda are definitely going to give a changed look to the city. Construction of flyovers and proposed metro connectivity has indeed made Gurgaon my choice of city to work in.

Thumbs up Manesar IT Park Reaches Towering Heights, Permission To Firms To Develop 15-Storey Buildings

Manesar IT Park Reaches Towering Heights, Permission To Firms To Develop 15-Storey Buildings

Before skyscrapers dot the skyline of Gurgaon following the recent policy that permits buildings of unlimited height in Haryana, 11 towering structures would come up in one campus of the technology park at Manesar. The Haryana Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation had granted permission to a dozen companies to raise 15-storey buildings and 11 out of these 12 have taken up construction to keep the deadline. One company is running a dispute and hence is yet to take up construction. The pace of construction at the park, said senior officials at Chandigarh, is on at a satisfactory speed, but would take time to complete.
The corporation had formed a high-level monitoring committee to overview the progress of work at the campus. The project, after completion, would bring investment worth Rs 3,600 crore to the state. Each company had been allowed to raise 15 floors and the campus would stand high among the comparatively short height of other buildings at the IMT. All the other buildings in the IMT had been allowed up to four floors only.

The 140-acre sprawling park would host a dozen big IT companies of international repute, with each securing equal space of 10 acres. The corporation is expecting to generate 50,000 jobs from the park. In view of creating pollution-free industries at the IMT, the corporation has focused on inviting industries dealing in information technology, biotechnology, neotechnology and robotic technology. Each company had been allotted land at a price of Rs 17 crore.

The companies constructing their buildings include Agilent Technologies, Anantraj, Vighneshawara, Giallilio, HCL, T-3 Infra Track, Prime Rose Bharti, Shapoorji Palanji, Rishiraj Realtors, AM Buildwell, Sofer and Arora Udyog.

Under the corporation policy, the companies had been allowed to construct residential facilities on 10 per cent area. Besides each company would be allowed to use 4 per cent area for commercial purpose and 2 per cent for recreational use. Each company would essentially use 84 per cent space for their technology centre. Under this arrangement, each company would be able to construct 100 flats in its area. These flats would be allotted to their

employees only.

Besides residential facilities, the corporation has kept 20 acres for developing public facilities for people working here, including parks, recreational centres, cyber cafes and restaurants, etc.

Marriott, Uppal group to open five-star hotel in Gurgaon

Real estate developer Uppal group has signed an agreement with global hotel chain Marriott International to develop and own a five-star hotel sporting the Marriott brand in Gurgaon, adjacent to the national capital. The hotel, JW Marriott hotel, will require an investment of around Rs.3.25 billion and will be spread over 12.5 acres off the national highway 8. It will have 210 luxury rooms, designed by Singapore-based SCDA Architects.

As a part of the agreement, the Uppal group, based here, will develop and own the hotel, while the day-to-day operations will be managed by Marriott International.

"The announcement is in line with our long-term plan to strengthen our foray in hospitality business," said Uppal group managing director Manish Uppal. "This development will cater to the increasing demand for hotel rooms in NCR region."

The hotel will be in the close vicinity of Delhi airport and is likely to be completed by September next year.

Marriott's international lodging division president and managing director Ed Fuller said his company was looking forward to expansion of the Gurgaon hotel in future.
