Anyway IU, we seem to have atleast 2 forumers from Bhopal and both of them have started threads. I feel that we should have one so can you unmerge the threads?

Yeah, lets not put ourselves into dodgy waters. I've had a chat with Sanju now and he appears to have sorted out the issue. He is just brigged from posting for a few days and will be back soon. We are all adults and let's take the responsibility of looking after ourselves.

I hope Marathaman, Sanju, India and all are back with us as soon as possible. For our mods it is inappropriate to interfere with the decisions of other moderators as explained by Sudheesh before.

Krishna, I do not think non Indian mods have any vengeance with Indian forumers. It is just like that if you go to a foreign country and do some offence there, you are liable to get arrested there, and not much Indian govt or police can do about that.

As I have clarified earlier, I never go beyond Indian forums since I am not interested. Anyway I understand that Marathaman had created a thread in international Skybar about the formation of Telengana state and later some flare up happened and he got banned. Moreover he had earlier a history of brig/ban. My personal feeling is that he had no need of starting a thread in Skybar for Telengana. Why give outsiders a chance for laughing at us?

Sanju got banned for starting a thread in ‘In the news’ section against the banning of Maratha with plenty of ‘head bashing smilies’. Trust me, if I am also seeing a post with such smilies, I will also get offended, just like somebody is bashing my head. Anyway Sanju will be back by 16th of Dec.

We're looking into Marathaman's case and will soon get to know the full details of the ban period. Sanju will be back on the 16th and India will be back on 14th.

You guys have to realize that you can't fool around in the international sections (or even here). If cretins from other nations flame you then just don't reply to their baits. As simple as that.

I understood Sudeeshetta.

But This was a sudden ban in the case of Marathman and Sanju chettan.
The guy who provoked Marathman is freely roaming and Marthaman was made scapegoat.Dont' these mods in the international section have brains?
Atleast they should have consulted the Indian moderators before
resorting to such actions.

BTW, I'm happy to know that Sanju chettan and India will be back soon.

Pls do something in the case of Marathaman.

being not so provocative, still isnt it look like backside discrimination by banning the person who was pinched by some other enitity who is still roamin and spammin everywhere..
i went and saw that few posts..i cant see and pinpoint any single person who wasnt trying to bash others, then why only our indian forumers got banned and other allowed to enjoy tat moment..
if this is how it is then i feel so bad about tat so called elites who think themselves only civilized being on this globe..

is it war or wat..if they dont know then i should let me remind them that it is highly professional forum and being moderator for any thread or part is great deal of responsibility which requires self credibility and general logic.. in other words, it is not like personal asset which can be used in whichever way they want.

Few, BPS was wrte I you can get banned by asking a mod to unban a forumer who has been banned. But luckly I'm till here people!

I don't want to get myself into this issue but I have always argued that the international skybar/in the news section needs better moderation. As for forumers who post there, the section often brings the worst in them, hence giving mods an easy reason to ban forumers given the scale of the problems in that section.

Overall I would advice forumers to be extra careful while posting in the international skybar/in the news until things are improved.

I was checking my 'Moderator Control Panel' and I see that Marathaman is banned only for 2 days, for 'trolling the skybar'.He will be free on 13th December.

From the control panel, I think I have the power to use the 'Lift Ban' option. But as I had said earlier and quoted by Abhishek, we would like to keep the decision taken by another Mod as sacrosanct, no questions asked for the behaviour outside Indian forums.

As India101 said, the mods have control only over the respective forums. And all do not have ban powers too. But those who have ban powers can ban a regular forumer irrespective of his nationality. Only thing is that he be rational in his deeds. Say an Indian Mod is supposed to take an action against a forumer, if he comes to the Indian forum and behaves badly. Simply put we are not supposed to do like what 'truckin' has said, eventhough we might be technically able to do that.

And finally I do not think SSC has any regional boundaries as per membership. So, a MOD taking an action against a forumer in a specific forum need not check which nationality/origin of the offender and consult the respective mods there.
