What is your view on the EcoCab?

Share your views on the EcoCab.

Go to Pedal-powered cabs coming to Toronto for background info (with article plus video).

There's a video on youtube where a bunch of people decided to make a pedal powered car, and they got arrested by Toronto police :P

LOL! That was funny.... it was a great big old boat of a car- a Caddy or something, and they put candles in where the headlamps should be !!

I would take an eco cab if it is reasonably priced except that I always have my bike with me. I don't take those tourist Rickshaws as they are so expensive and you would feel very conspicuous in one.

I saw something like that at the waterfront here. Our waterfront is hilly, so they go very slow. I walked, beat them to the lookout over the lake, and laughed at them, before returning to the bus terminal.

They did beat me to the bus terminal, but they just had to coast down the hill. Idiots.

This would be good if you work in one building and like to go to a restaurant a few blocks away for lunch or something, but other than that it really isn't a practical form of transportation.

I would never use one of those silly things myself, but so long as it doesn't hold up traffic, there's no reason to oppose it.

Hey vid, they helped you burn a few calories, so that was a green movement right there!

I would use one, but only "in the name of convienience." They are free, and I don't have to walk. Its what I have always dreamed of.

HA! Are they serious that you get a free glass of green tea with the ride!!! I would go just for the tea.

Won't really be usefull unless we have a fleet of hundreds of these on the streets downtown. It'll create traffic nightmare though.

No worry about being reasonably priced the ride is free! Tips are welcome but no payment is required. The cab costs are supported by corporate sponser.
