msrdc progress on phase II of the western freeway sea link

i don't think there is another forum for this. msrdc has invited proposals for phases II-a (worli to haji ali) and phase II-b (haji ali to nariman point)

There was one before the reorg. It was called Western Freeway Sea Link (WFSL). Perhaps we can just change the name of this thread when BWSL finished construction.

The worli southbound cable stay towers have also been marked as "completed". Does anyone have the designs for that?

More sea links

BTW, Versova Bandra Sea Link has also undergone pre-feasibility studies. With a possible extension to Borivali.

Check this on MSRDC's page.

BWSL completion date

Analyst report on HCC mentions bwsl completion date.

Quote:
HCC is currently in talks with the government to sort out the issues related to the cost escalation, change in scope of work and payment of the under recoveries arising out of Sealink project. It has provided for an under recoveries of Rs230 crore Bandra Worli Sealink project till 1Q FY08, which according to the management covers the expected losses on the project. HCC expects to complete the project by March 2009.

That first image is a bit old. Notice that it doesn't have any cables.

Out of curiosity -- any reason why a decision was made to have the Sealink land right the middle of a nice sea-facing promenade?

The promenade came up because of the sea link! Earlier it was only the dirty Dadar Chowpatty whose view was blocked.

I think he's referring to the Worli sea face promenade, and not the newly built promenade @ Bandra reclamation.
