Spring Arrives in Boise/A walk around downtown

Spring seems to be taking forever to arrive this year because of the cold weather but it should turn out to be a nice long season. The following is a heap of pictures I took while walking around downtown early today, Saturday the 19th. The weather was cool, cloudy, sunny, and breezy.

This is just the beginning of the long Spring display so I will have to take some more pictures in about a month when the greenery really kicks in.

But first Parkcenter Pond at sunset. This is always a sure sign Spring is arriving in Boise This pond isn't very far from downtown, just about a 5 minute bike ride along the Greenbelt.

Boise, Idaho USA

Downtown and the first day of the Saturday Farmers/Artist Market.

Lobby in the Empire Building

The Flowering Pears on Harrison Boulevard have just started to bloom. stay tuned.

Cool pics man. It seems spring in Boise genauso wie (right as) in Berlin! I mean, the trees have the same ammount of leaves, white flowers, pink flowers, amazing! It's my first time in Spring in a temperate and it's really different. I dunno, but do those white-flowered trees have some perfume? Here in Berlin they smell great, I really like that!

The market is every Saturday from April through December and is ran by the city arts department.

Yeah, the white flowered trees have a really pungent sweet smell. A lot of these are flowering pear trees.

Agree, the trees are awesome.
I like the fact that there are signs of the basque presence here and there... is that presence actually strong?
