Dear all,

It has always been our desire, that regional forums should preferably have representation by local forumers, and even more so on the moderator level. Seven months since the creation of the Zhonghua forums, and we feel this might be the time to hand the baton over to such a person. Or even persons, because we may select two new mods if need be.

The moderators have been delibrating over the issue, and I am now opening this discussion up to our forumers here. We are now calling for nominations for the modship of the entire Zhonghua forums, which may be followed by a voting process subsequently. In your nominations, please clearly state the reasons for your nomination, or else they will not mean much to us. The chief purpose of this exercise is still to gather public feedback and to gauge public sentiment with regards to the above.

Do take note, also, that the popular vote here is but one contributing factor to the eventual selection of the new moderator(s). A forumer receiving the most nominations and/or votes here, hence, does not guarantee him the role. The final decision will still require approval and consent from the team of moderators.

My two cents:
I nominate HkSkyline &Huaiwei as general moderators of Da Zhonghua Luntan 大中華論壇/大中华论坛 .

For each section:
Neon as a moderator for Mainland China forum;
HkSkyline for Hongkong forum ;
AsIaBoYz for Macau forum;
Isan for Taiwan forum.

Do these sub-forums really have the traffic to really have an actual need for yet another mod? Just curious....

I was contacted by a 2 taiwanese board members and 1 korean board member last month regarding running for moderator for taiwanese board. Thus, I feel there is a need for me to clearify my situation.

Yes, I might have been one of the original taiwanese board forumers who post relatively often at times. But, I would have to turn down this nomination due to the fact that I do not see myself "fit" for the task. I am very occupied by my own career. I am greatful that SCC has provided me with many joyful moments and relaxation through out the years. In addition, I am happy to have met many new friends here. And that's about it.

As far as taiwanese board is concerned, I too, see "Isan" as a qualify candidate for moderating Taiwan forum and highly recommand him for the lead based on his effort and the consistancy of the posts. However, if not, Pangu is just as good.

相信大家也注意到了，初步设想是除了4个construction thread以外，另设一个上海专题贴，一个深广专题贴，和3个区域专题贴（东北华北，东南，和中西部），以高质量的图片为主，我整理了一些旧有的帖子，自己也找了一些图，只弄出来这么多东西，发现原来大陆论坛里没有几个图片帖子，大家在国际区贴图很积极，自己的地盘上就不那么积极。希望大家多多贴图，我直接置顶就好了，免得我自己一个人在唱单簧。有什么建议，也尽管提
