Size reduction for the web. Those images are reduced for loading on the mobile site, search engines etc. The full resolution images are still crisp.

Unfortunately, Tectonic will be limiting updates on the forums in the future because of replicating of the images on a certain blog.

There are great updates from others, (ILNY especially). Tectonic will 'fill in the blanks'.

It is almost as tall as the 515 foot Seagram Building! It wasn't that long ago that it was just starting to rise above ground. That was Mid-March. In 8 months or about 33-34 weeks, this has risen about 40-45 floors.

Can't wait to see it finished and appreciate the architectural dialogue with the Seagram building.

January 2nd
This will likely be lost on the skyline due to the height of every surrounding building.

It might not have much of an impact on the skyline but this is still one of my favorites of the many under construction right now.
Foster really came up with an elegant structure that respects its surroundings yet has a timeless and classy design. Love the glass.
Perhaps BIG should take some notes.

Clearly noticeable from the ESB over 345 Park Avenue.

This image perfectly describes why this build will not ever be seen on the skyline. The extreme height and density hides it from every angle by big boxes that are 600-700 feet tall and several that are up to 900 feet tall. It took me 5 minutes to find it, just to the left of the Citigroup Center. 252 East 57th is far more visible.

Yes, that's the "downside" of the Manhattan skyline. Midtown just absorbs everything under 800 feet (with some exceptions along the riverfront). Hence I often wish for more 700+ footers in locations without that extreme density. Extell's One Manhattan Square project at the Manhattan Bridge is good example. It's a solid 800 footer and will be very visible on the skyine. But put it in the heart of Midtown and it will get lost.

At least this shows that it is indeed visible from Brooklyn, although barely. ( towerpower123, it's in front of 432 Park Avenue )
