Hong Kong: City Life II

Hong Kong: City Life II

This thread is a continuation from my successful city life photo thread started about a year ago, I present some found pictures of Hong Kong city life scenes from great photographers with the aim of showcasing the vibrancy and dynamism of Asia's World City.
(Mainly it's my dumping ground of amazing photos )

It's the other way around.
First is Lane Crawford.
Second is the atrium.

Yes, the curving set of escalators is quite a giveaway.

Is Times Square the mall these walkways lead to?

image hosted on flickr

I'm not so familiar with HKI malls, the only ones I go to are IFC, PP, and Taikoo Shing, but last year I walked through these walkways from the Star Ferry and got to a mall in Central

well. it leads you to ifc mall but not time square. time square is like at the other end of hong kong island. miles away.

This is the footbridge over Connaught Road Central just east of Pedder Street linking Jardine House and Charter House in Central. Technically, it doesn't connect to any mall directly, but to other footbridges that lead to other places.

They connect pretty much all of Central - Prince's Building, Landmark, Chater House etc.

That footpath leads to IFC and Chater House, from where you can access the others.

Sigh. These photos are great. As much as we marvel over the many skyline pics that get posted, nothing beats photos that capture day-to-day city life.

Speaking of the footpath connection in Central, I have a filmclip where I pretty much capture the entire journey from there, down to central station, on the train, and up to times square. So I guess it does link technically
