The current master plan is by renowned 3XN Architects. There is a possibility that David Chipperfield will become involved in large parts of the project too, which could be rater exciting.

Just so that no one gets confused: Had the name of this thread partly changed from "MARMORMOLEN" to "The Marble Pier" (translation from Danish to English). Now it's possible for outsiders to actually understand and pronounce the name of the project...

SOME EXCITING NEWS:
Three firms for the first competition (the high-rise and bridge part) on The Marble Pier project have been announced as of today: STEVEN HOLL, BRT and 3XN (the last no surprise at all). Another three firms for this competition will be pre-qualified during the next month.

The competition brief for this project is out - seems like the name is changing to "The LM Project".
English version on the brief can be found here: http://www.byoghavn.dk/lm_project_ny.pdf Steven Holl, BRT, 3XN, C. F. Møller Architects, Arkitema and Heneghan.peng are participating in the competition. Results will be out come late September.

Some exciting news: C. F. Møller has teamed up with none other than Foreign Office Architects for a SHARED bid on the two high-rises of the Marble Pier. Foreign Office Architects are behind world famous projects like the Yokohama International Port Terminal and the forthcoming BBC’s new Music Theatre. Definitely A-list material. Pretty cool.

The winning proposal by Steven Holl
...it's probably not gonna be 140 m as the thread title says but atleast there are two towers. more here: http://www.byoghavn.dk/byomrader/mar.../lm-presse.htm Some of the other proposals are really amazing IMO. Have a look here: http://www.byoghavn.dk/assessment_report.pdf |

Here are some high-res' on Steven Holl's winning project revealed yesterday, now dubbed "The LM Project".
We should also consider changing the thread title, as the info (height and name) is off the original masterplan. ![]() ![]() ![]()
