It's about 30m taller, but it doesn't look like an application has been submitted yet, just a scoping opinion:

A bit strange to read this in The Wharf. I thought they were awaiting permission already... Has anybody seen the planning application details and how tall the proposal is? Again, I thought they already submitted their plans for a 70-something floor tower. So what it this supposed to mean?

I think there was a scoping report and an announcement of a new architect, but no actual plans submitted. They should be on Tower Hamlets site soon no doubt.

The application has been submitted for a 75-storey residential tower, 239m AOD.

Is that a render, or just massing? It's look very metallic, reflective, and monolithic. Has definitely piqued my interest.

A 75 storey building on the same footprint would surely look very slender, the render looks a bit fat. The previous design has the same outline proportions as the wtc buildings

I believe that is its wider angle. When looking from the side, such as from Greenwich, it should appear to be slender.

Isn't this 239m AOD? Shouldn't the height in the title be the above-ground height (presumably slightly less than 1CS)?

Has a touch of Manchester's Beetham Tower to it, wouldn't you say?

It is actually one meter taller than ICS making it the second tallest skyscraper in the UK, after the Shard, and the tallest residential tower in western Europe.
Planning documents are not yet available. Presumably, they will by next Saturday. In the meantime I have produced some quick and dirty sketches in Google to represent the massing and height of the proposed tower. Here they are: ![]() ![]()

Not sure how I feel about this. Being so tall and so slim almost makes it look a bit silly, especially next to the bulky blocks of CW.
