Thanks amar for your nice words.

We all know about LEEPU, the brilliant car designer. He is now here in the UK, working with DISCOVERY CHANNEL on their CHOP SHOP project where he designs 1 car in every 2 weeks with the dumped car bodies. I will post the episodes of CHOP SHOP here on a regular basis. But now will start with 'BANGLA BANGERS', another DISCOVERY CHANNEL SHOW showing LEEPU'S TALENT.

I have to agree with you on that one. He's quite talented. Turning a 1979 Toyota Publica to a mini-corvette is no mean feat...

I personally don't know but I heard from my cousin who lives in BD that the price varies widely; since officially there are extremely high tariffs on luxury cars but depending on the status of the person, he/she can get it at a comparable international price

There's steep tariff, duteis and taxes on luxury automobiles in India as well. I read every now and then, the Bollywood folks getting caught in the tangle and their vehicles being ceased. In India, there is a section within their internal revenue that tracks and surveils all these imported luxury vehicles. I wonder whether there's any Bangladesh equivalent.

i dont know about BD, but in india import duties for luxury cars are 100%
when the celebs try to work their way around the system, thats when they get into trouble.

They never pay the tariff. The MPs had the privilege to import any car duty free so they abused this right and sold imported luxury cars to dealers who in turn sold it to rich customers for much less then actually importing the car with the full duty.

Showcase of luxury vehicles from Bangladeshi cities
The title of this topic should be 'Corrupt Politicians, Crooks and Robbers Vehicles from Bangladesh Cities'

while millions of cheap labours work hard abroad under harsh conditions and send their meager remitance back to Bangladesh, the corrupt Bangladeshi Iddiots drive such cars at the expense of such hard working people. Very Shameful, but being Bangladesh also expected and Normal.
