A revival from what? You can't revive something that was never alive in the first place.

It was alive. Now it is not but it used to be alive a long time ago in a galaxy far far away

No seriously, it really was alive

Long-Stalled Atelier 2 Shows Signs Of Life Off to the West

Quote:
The plan to build Atelier 2, a condo at 605 West 42nd Street, came back to life last fall with one major modification—a switch from condo to rentals. A tipster passes along the above construction shot, and yes, it's alive. Back in 2007, the plan was for a 57-story building, according to the old DOB permit. A few modifications have recently been filed, but we didn't spot any new numbers on building height.

A tower like this would be on of the most watched projects in any South American or European city save Moscow and Panama City. Funny how it seems to have slipped completely under the radar here.

New rendering! Looks taller than the DOB permits would indicate...

Renderings Released: Atelier II

That new addition on the top looks ugly. It does make this building look taller than Silver Towers though.

Yea that top really looks out of place! I guess with the new renderings with that top they plan on building taller? it does look like its taller than the Silver Towers. They should put 2 eyes, nose and a mouth on that thing.

Most likely over 200m, just take a look at the Silver Towers which are 653ft (199m).

Quote:
DOB is just to the last occupied floor, with that thing on the top this tower will break the 200m mark.

I just realized that's an old permit from 2007.

Thread should be moved back to the skyscraper section. This is clearly 200m+.
