Dispite of some serbians in this forum not all roads or motorways have to lead to Belgrade.

The question "AI or BB" will be answered in the future by a financial reason and not by panserbian dreams.

@Verso: They drive dangerous and often they are also drunken. Quite similar to the rest of the Balkan States.

Maybe you should consider driver over Zabljak and Niksic to Risan as an alternative? Driving through Tara canyon is not that bad and it's just a few kilometers longer...

Beograd is a natural hub, not only because of the location, but also because it is a important city in the region. You may deslike it, but Serbia is the crossroads between east and west. Not all roads must lead to Belgrade, but it is logical. By building Beograd-Bar, Montenegro has quick connection to many places besides Belgrade.

When Montenegro left Yugoslavia, they did not become economically independant! How can Albanians not understand this? Our Economies are still tied. "Pan-Serbian dreams" have nothing to do with it. Serbia justs want a motorway to the port of Bar, Montenegro needs a economical backbone. Stop spreading hate.

I think we can all agree at least that priorities are Podgorica bypass and Podgorica-Bar motorway.

Priority is Podgorica-Kolasin section, because it is most difficult (many tunnels and bridges) and because of Moraca canyon.

Belgrade is the reality since that motorway is already underconstruction in Serbia. The rest is cheap troll talk.

Montenegro will not give up on the motorway

During the opening of the ring road around Bijelo Polje, Montenegrin Prime Minister Igor Luksic said that the realisation of the projects in the plan of improvement of the transport network has positive results that transfer to the society as a whole.

This project, along with many other projects, such as the construction of road directions Pljevlja-Bijelo Polje, Plav-Podgorica, Kolasin-Berane, makes an important part of the infrastructural efforts of the Government of Montenegro. Luksic claims that the Government will continue making efforts in order to valorise the potentials Montenegro has. He also said that the state will not give up on the project of the motorway Bar-Boljare.

Does anyone know if there are traffic data (traffic counts, AADT) available for Montenegro?

They have plenty of time by the time they get there. As I would say; "More work less talk"..

^ I doubt there is going to be any motorway in MNE until Usa decides to finance it. That's why there isn't much development on the other side of border. Just cheap trash talk from from the Serbo-haters.

An older visualization of a proposed Verige bridge for those who may not have seen it...part of a future coastal expressway. Nothing is for certain about it yet - maybe a tunnel will be built instead, at extra cost but less impact on the environment.

USA has nothing to do with motorway in our country, and I'm sure they will not finance it. EIB is most likely going to finance this motorway, and we will know later this year when construction is going to start.
