Maybe this question has been asked before but why is Montenegro choosing Albania to connect with motorway rather than its sister country Serbia? I know it will be coming from Croatia to Albania...right? When will this project be finished...?

They are planning a Beograd - Bar motorway.

The problem is Albania is much easier to connect to, terrainwise. The motorway to Beograd will run through very difficult terrain.

Tunnel impresses indeed. It looks like it's been built as half-profile motorway section in the path of future Podgorica - Bar motorway.

Polish citizens don't need to have visas to Albania despite being a part of EU. Just visited Albania and not a single Euro paid for entrance.

Albania and Croatia should do the same, what Croatia is going to do with the bypassing of BIH: to build (in this case just a little bit more than 100km) bridge from the albanian to the croatian coast!

@topic: I think both sides (Albania and Croatia) will wait for a long time until these two countries are connected through a Motorway! The decision to give top priority to the one heading to Belgrade, is a typically political issue.

Once the Kosovo highway is completed, Albania can practically be connected to HR through Kosovo and Serbia, although a longer route it will certainly be a much shorter journey rather having to go through MNE.

I don't think so because from Han i Hotit to the croatian border you have something about 100km, as far as i know. You're avarge speed in Montenegro won't be more than 40-50km/h, but we are talking about "only" 100km. It also depends on, where in Croatia you are heading to? If you want to go to Zagreb it could take not so much time, when you chose the route through Kosovo and Serbia, than driving through Montenegro. If you can say this also, when the croatian A1 reaches Dubrovnik ... i highly doubt that.

And how is that? You will go to Dubrovnik or Split not entering BiH and MNE?

A motorway from the albanian border to the croatian one is much cheaper, than the one heading to Belgrade. When you're connected with Dubrovnik, you're connected (via a much shorter route) with Europe. How long will it take until Podgorica is linked with Belgrade? If the progress will be as fast as it is/was on the Novi Sad - Horgos motorway ... good fight & good night.

Via Prishtina - Nis - Belgrade - Osijek and Zagreb.

one more proof that your criteria are simple nationalistic.
Priština - Dubrovnik via Macedonia Bulgaria Romania and Croatia not entering SRB, MNE and BiH it must be 4000km

I'm not an economical expert, but im glad that at least the motorway heading to Belgrade is going to be built in the near(?) future.

What's your problem? I've just said, that nowadays the route from Albania through Kosovo and Serbia (once again: Tirana-Kukės-Prishtina-Nis-Belgrade-Osijek-Zagreb) can spend less time, than the one through Montenegro. That's it. I'm not understanding what looks like for you nationalistic in my last statement? Are you wearing your SRS-Glases? And why via Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania? But even it you want to bypass your mothercountry Serbia, you would have to drive also through Hungary before you enters Croatia.

I see all Kosovo Albaners drive throught Serbia to West Europe,of course only who have Serbian passports,by buses or cars.Other with UNMIK-Kosovo passports must travel by plane and need visas for all coutries include Montenegro,Croatia and Macedonia.
