Nice stadium for athletics but its always a shame for the fans when there is a track between the pitch and the stands.

When the Luzhniki Stadium hosted the 1980 Summer Olympics, there was no roof covering the stands back then.

True, the roof was added during a renovation of the stadium in the late 90's. Although I'm generallly not a fan of athletics stadiums I really do fancy this one. Simple but elegant.

I have to agree with Neda, the outside is very appealing as it gives off the notion of grandeur, however the interior just seems to be a blaze of cheap tacky coloured seats a mile away from the pitch, and concrete.
