at ohio stadium, yeah all the seats they can get. But if they add seats at the bottom at Luzhniki it wouldnt really add to the total capacity if they take out rows off the top of the stadium to add suites. A stadium with seats close to the pitch and a bunch of suites is fitting for a city like Moscow and i think they should have one

is there any photos during the CL final, I think I saw some empty seats at the botton and top of the stadium, was it true the news of not being a soldout? (that will be a fiasco for Moscow as host city)

Here's what Ohio Stadium did:
![]() Dig it up. ![]() Add some seats. ![]() The first few rows can see fine. The incline matches the rest of the tier and the first row is elevated like most US stadia. Texas did the same thing at DKR. Whether or not this is a good idea for Olimpiyskiy I have no idea. |

I like this stadium apart from what I’m guessing is the executive box area which I think looks awful if that was changed to make it fit in better with the interior of the stadium then this would be a truly brilliant and traditional stadium.

The Luzhniki Stadium is one of three big stadiums in the former USSR. The other two are the Olympiysky Stadium in Kiev and the late Kirov Stadium in St. Petersburg. Kirov Stadium is deceased and the Olympiysky is experiencing a major reconstruction. All Luzhniki Stadium had is the addition of seats and a new stand cover. Shouldn't the shape of the stands be change or is i fine ust the way it is?

the exterior of this stadium is monumental , classy and great , but the interior is so incredibly ugly and lame .. they should switch out all the ugly seats , put a grass pitch in it and give it a better track ....

If you're sitting behind those flagpoles at the corner you're screwed. Take them away!

Today there was an information, that if Russia will get WC-2018, the football field will be lowered to four meters, lower stands will be reconstructed, total capacity will rise to 90,000+.

The Luzhniki Stadium is part of a sporting complex. The stadium itself is known as the Grand Arena. There is also a Minor Arena, a Sports Palace, a multipurpose gymnasium, and a swimming pool. The swimming pool is poorly maintained and is currently falling into disrepair. There were plans to replace it with a brand-new aquatics centre as part of Moscow's bid for the 2013 World Aquatics Championships, which went to Dubai.
