why won't they tear at least 2/3 of the stadium (whole southeast & northwest stand & facade also northeast & southwest stand to make tetragonal-shape stadium)?

Funny, this stadium has the same color scheme as the Sullivan Arena.

Hey guys, photos taken by a 18-20 mm camera. The selection gives a longer 20-30 m of vision. Approximately human eye perspective equal to 45-50 mm camera. So the real view is not far as you thought. Its a normal olimpic stadium.

Not until 2013 I think, Moscow is hosting the 2013 athletics championships, so they need the track for then.

From what I can see here, http://stadiums.at.ua/news/luzhniki/2011-09-15-3813 , it will be a brand new structure inside the old shell. Have I understood it right?

Very same thought I had when I saw it. Wonder which part of that will be left after the old one. Seems like... no part. Eager for details.

Won't it become white elephant with low club's average attendance?
Won't they dare to lose best athletics stadium (meanwhile Yekaterinburg's Sinara Arena should become football-specific stadium with current design)?
But I wish the lowest tier will be looks like Stade de France (Retractable seating).

In the future will not be running track? Or will be rebuilt in the stands, and, if necessary, furnished running paths?

after reinnovation? Torpedo Moscow might play there I think. This club has played there since 1996 to 2008.

For athletics there are CSK Stadium (25k) in Ryazan. Torpedo Stadium has track too.

Or it will be Russia's "Wembley".

Just for National team and Cup finals

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Torpedo had veeery low attendances there, hadn't they? If I recall well the club then went bankrupt and is now reestablished?
