the whole tower had a LED illumination tonight, very similar to Yas Hotel. I didnt know the tower was going to look like that. also I believe the Grandstand shading roof will have a strip of blue LED light, I think that's what I saw them installing it last few days ago.

Any night shots of the illuminated tower?? I know it's IDEX and probably hard to get a few good shots but I'd much appreciate to see the tower and the splash (that's how the extension is called officially) been light up.

Abu Dhabi's leaning hotel gears up for December launch

Abu Dhabi’s Hyatt Capital Gate Hotel, located in the world’s furthest leaning manmade tower, will open this month

The project was delayed after the fit out and construction proved a bigger and more costly challenge than expected

The Capital Gate Tower leans 18 degrees westward, more than five times the angle of Italy’s Leaning Tower of Pisa

It was scheduled to open two years ago

The hotel will open to the public on December 21 and an official opening celebration will take place early next year

The Hyatt-branded five-star hotel consists of floors 18 to 33 of the mixed use tower and will include 189 rooms,
including 22 suites

The hotel will also include a spa on the 19th floor and a restaurant called 18 Degrees, which will be on the 18th floor

The opening rates will start at AED1050 ($219)

The hotel is Hyatt’s first in Abu Dhabi and will occupy an area in excess of 25,000 square metres

Hyatt Capital Gate Abu Dhabi opens in the UAE capital

Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) recently announced the opening of Hyatt Capital Gate Abu Dhabi.

Located at the city’s premium business address, it is positioned on the top floors of the iconic Capital Gate building, which leans a record-breaking 18 degrees.

Occupying floors 18 to 33 of the Capital Gate building, Hyatt Capital Gate Abu Dhabi offers 189 guestrooms and suites featuring floor-to-ceiling glass windows that permit views of the Arabian Gulf and the city.

The hotel is strategically located adjacent to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, within walking distance of the Embassy District and only 15 minutes from the international airport.

“Hyatt Capital Gate Abu Dhabi is unique in its forward-thinking design and well-crafted hospitality approach,” prided managing director, Hyatt International, South-West Asia, Peter Fulton.

“The hotel was designed to cater to the individual traveler seeking indigenous experiences, and the property offers many thoughtful features that executive travellers value today.”

Director of business development and investments, ADNEC, Sanjay Tanna contributed: “ADNEC is delighted to have had the opportunity to work with Hyatt to bring this landmark property to the Abu Dhabi market. Hyatt Capital Gate is well on its way to becoming a ‘must-visit’ for tourists and Abu Dhabi residents alike.”

Tanna added: “The opening of the hotel further broadens the destination appeal of ADNEC for the business traveller.”

Designed to be stylish, welcoming, and a calm retreat in the city, each guestroom has its own configuration and size hoped to give guests the experience of staying in a new room each time they check in to the hotel.

Guestrooms have an open plan imagined as making the room feel spacious and welcoming. Features for business traveller include high-speed wired and wireless Internet, spacious work areas, easy-to-use clocks, and power outlets at desk level.

Rain showers and separate oval bath tubs, and luxury infinity baths in suites are hoped to appeal to the leisure seeker.

The hotel’s signature restaurant, ‘18°’ offers Mediterranean cuisine, whilst ‘The Lounge’ houses a spread of premium teas, coffees and fresh pastries.

Located on the ground floor, Profiterole caters to the adjacent exhibition centre and the executive office floors located within the Capital Gate building. Profiterole offers an à la carte menu that revolves around small baked pastries with sweet or savoury fillings. For something more intimate, bar Privé serves premium beverages and gourmet tapas,

Within the hotel, four exclusive state-of-the-art boardrooms are available to host private meetings, while Privé can be used as a breakout venue for refreshments or casual light lunches. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer natural daylight, while the latest technology and experienced associates are on hand to ensure every event is a resounding success. In addition, the adjacent ADNEC offers 19 meeting rooms, two conference rooms, a large banquet hall and 239,268 m² of interconnected exhibition space.

Rayana Spa, purportedly Abu Dhabi’s only ‘sky spa’, is perched on the 19th floor of the hotel and features views of the city. Rayana Spa is complemented by a fitness centre equipped with modern cardio and resistance machines, a sun terrace, an outdoor cantilevered swimming pool and a whirlpool.

It's open and rooms are around the 1000AED mark but in advance I have seen them as low as 600.
