Personally I appreciate and love Helen Zille, but personally I do not love DA.

I want to know if a white south african decides to join the ANC and ANC supporters like him alot and support him for president, would DA supporters support the ANC or do keep hope alive with your alliance?

We'd like to answer your question, but it's very unclear and couldn't decipher exactly what you're asking. Please rephrase; I know everyone is not English First-Language, but the question is difficult to understand.

I'm not merely going to support the ANC because there's a white dude in the running for president (which is unlikely to happen in any case). It has nothing to do with his skin colour...it's all about whether he's an idiot or not. Unfortunately, even if we do find someone competent at the helm, there's still the rest of the organisation to deal with.

The whole point is whether you DA supporters will ever support the ANC at any time in the future, The ANC have given the republic two good presidents in Mandela and Mbeki, with Zuma becoming president you DA supporters just jumped on the chance to bash the ANC!

How about you read my post and absorb what I said. No matter how good the ANC president is, I won't vote for them as long as the rest of the organisation is as useless as it currently is. That is "the whole point."

You are assuming people who vote for the DA are voting for them because of their leader, which isn't the case.

I don't care WHO leads the party as long as the party's policies and delivery are aligned with my wants and needs.

If the DA fell off the rails, I would stop voting for them. If the ANC started sorting itself out and became a decent party I would consider voting for them.

I find funny you ignore the last two ANC presidents who were good but still focus on some kind of negativity

SA politics have turned into race politics, its sad! It only divides the country, everyone just keep tearing down the ANC when they barely got power and unfortunately elected a moron to be president recently but ANC have had good leaders in mandela and mbeki

No, SA Politics has not turned into race politics...

ANC Politics is all about race/history politics... the majority of the rest of the parties are not doing that, and its the reason parties like the DA are gaining ground.

And like Lydon, I couldn't give a toss WHO the party president is, the ANC is volkak (full of shit) and therefore do not deserve my respect.

Nelson Mandela as a person commands my respect, Nelson Mandela as leader of the ANC does not.

Thabo Mbeki as a person does not command my respect, Thabo Mbeki as ANC leader commands my derision at best. He was the person responsible ultimately for the AIDS debacle in this country.

You are the one racializing it!

If the ANC got their act together, I could vote for them in the future. If the DA started being rubbish, corrupt and inefficiant, I would stop voting for them.
Understand?
Race has fuck all to do with it. If the DA vote in 100 black leaders and mp's tomorrow, and are still performing at the same level, I would naturally continue voting for them.
Do you see now how you are the one with the race problem?

And Mandela was a hero and great leader, no doubt. Thabo was ok, and Zuma is not great, but he is actually not the biggest problem the ANC have.

Clearly not an ounce of intelligence upstairs if you still don't understand me.

Run along now.

No I am not racializing it, it is what it is since 1994. When the new national party was formed most coloured people supported it, so was when the DA was formed basically an extention of the new national party. SA politics have been divided for years so I am not the one trying to divide it. ANC is seen as the black party and DA is seen as the white party no need to sugarcoat it.
