That road joins the MGR salai near Taramani station not SRP tools. Can be used as an alternate way to avoid the Vijayangar log jam.(when flyovers are built). But the way Railways are building it , it may take longer time than IRR.

* ORR works progressing at a fast pace.
* To be done in 4 phases in which the lands for 29.6 km between vandalur-nemilichery have been acquired as first phase.
* Many underpasses, small bridges are being constructed.
* There was a slight delay due to non availability of sand but ORR will be opened as per plan.

Yes the elevated section of Chennai by pass is fully open for the last 2 weeks !!!

The maduravoyal interchange should also be lit properly with sign boards!! Its pitch dark in the evening ...

Travelled on the IRR admabakkam bridge. It is a crude case of opening a bridge just for "opening it". I think the habit opening half baked bridges has become the norm now. as elections approach. I pray God that people do not suffer because of this unsafe condition. Neither of the approcah portion are safe and as usual no lights to be soon. It again reflects on the poor planning and workmanship without adhering to even the simplest safety norms. Oh God let my country awake.

Good work dude....

more locality names could help identifying the fly overs easily in that pic. is pic generated from the open street map? the pic and the openstreet map looks different. also add a legend to the pic.

3. madhya kailash adyar bridge over canal
4. thiruvanmiyur BKM canal bridge

Tambaram flyover has been updated on osm, i was using an old dump which is why its not there on the generated map.

osm map data is opensource, you can download it and do all sorts of crazy stuff with it. thats why it looks different, even mapquest uses osm data now. if you are serious about editing the map try this app called JOSM.

Probably there would be more bridges/flyovers for the whole Chennai region if the following boundaries were considered

1)Sriperumbudur - West
2)Tiruvallur - North West
3) Gummudipoondi - North East
4)Chengulpet - South
5)Mamallapuram-South east
