So it's steelwork that they've been doing today then. Thanks for the photos Messi, we would have had literally no idea otherwise

Thanks messi. You saved our sanity.

Surprised they finished the steel first. I suppose as long as they don't put the final roof beam in they can still lift the pre-cast over the top.

Really? When did they state that?

It was used as a excuse for not getting a higher resolution livecam and also for not getting a cam at the back of the stand. I think it was in an e-mail reply a few months ago.

Am I correct in thinking this is the longest we've been without the cam since the build began? I remember it being knocked out of position when they were doing the tv gantry but not being out of commision for a day!

Is it the end of livecam as we know it?
I've just had a look and it's been over a month since there were any updates on the molineuxpride site and the last bit of news was about the steel supply!

As much as it's a good theory, I would doubt they will remove the roof supports until they at least complete the framework of the roof, which is surely getting pretty close with only 2 sections of it to go.

Thanks anyone got a link to it? Thought they just said they'd look into its feasibility and never came back to us...

True. They need to complete the structure of the roof so every member is tied in and doing it's job, then the 'support rods' will all be tightened up to take the equal strain and spread the load through the 2 main column members - all this will be done with line tension monitors and laser positioning devices. When the rods have taken the strain, only then will the support beams be removed.

.
And hopefully nothing creaks, groans and gives way!!

Nope, that would require some kind of effort and input from the club. I would wager that it's just bost.

My deepest thanks Messi for your photo's update.
From looking at them i believe they still have 4 flights of stairs to put in the section they are erecting now before they can finish the terracing in the same.
Maybe they are waiting for these stairs before they finish the front steel section of the final stage of terracing?.

Yep, it was me after a phone conversation with Matt Grayson where we discussed possibly moving or installing additional webcams. he promised to take the idea away and consider more locations. This was at the beginning of September and 3 months on nothing!!
