Seats purchased on a half season ticket will not be the seat renewable for the 2012/2013 season but will guarantee a renewal in the fully completed north stand."
The last line kinda hints that those are the back rows between the concrete compounds that will be converted into "1st Class" seating. Original article is here BTW.[/QUOTE] i think its more due to the original northbankers will be moved about to get them closer to their original locations once the stand is finished. so a half season ticketer might need to be moved to sort this out. it reads to me like normal political correctness speak to me. |

Does anybody know what the tallest stand in England currently is and how does the new North Bank compare to that?

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=570843 Old Trafford North Stand is tallest. 60m from pitch to roof. edit. Was recently renamed as the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand. The North Bank is about 25m vertically from pitch to highest seat. 35m from pitch to roof.

Front steps going back in ready for tomorrow. Might be a while until they are removed again.

At least the snow that was forecast hasn't happened so they won't lose any more time today on the build!
We might have to have ballboys in the upper tier tomorrow he he! Last edited by Camvoyeur; December 16th, 2011 at 02:06 PM. |

Why weather permitting? The billy wright has a roof! Or are you saying you only go when it's not raining? I travel 100 miles each way come rain or shine.......

I think he meant because of the Stoke game being plausibly called off. The weather had been reported to be bad snow all of today and tomorrow... which seems at this stage to have not materialised. |

Glad I'm sat in the nice dry billy quiet today. Really wouldn't wanna be sat in the rather 'damp' looking north bank!

Thanks for this photo! This photo proves I wasn't going insane when I said the light was now orange ![]() It's actually a different light now, and the white light is no longer on. Can't think of a reason for the lights on that particular spike, though. Did take some myself, too. Took a couple on approach of the ground, also, as I'm not sure anyone has yet. You can certainly see the stand from a long way around as you walk toward it. I also captured one of the orange light ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Just a little off topic; I absolutely hate Stoke. |

Just a quick question, how come the corner terracing isn't as high as the rest of the stand? This may of already been asked and answered, just I can't find it on here. Thanks everyone for the fantastic pictures! Really can't wait for it all to be finished now.

Working on that last bit of roof nearest the B.W. now by the look of things! Looks like they have put one of the lorry cranes at the side of the stand.

Just the design of the stand I believe. Adds a bit of style and uniqueness to what would otherwise be a bowl effect stadium.
