With the Anthill, it seems that the Bosporus is under siege from the skyscrapers as at a height of 200m they will certainly make an impact in the skyline. Imagine that the TAT towers are visible from the Bosporous despite the fact that they are well inland and so is of course the IsBankasi, further inland but at a height of 181m.

Sisli is becoming a tower residential district. Still, the elite residence is my favorite there but with the new breed of towers it will be eventually dwarfed, as will be the Polat residence which was ill-fated from the beginning in terms of location. At the time of construction was the most pioneering residential tower in Europe though.

It's good to see these developments, and keep posting. Et, parlez en Anglais s'il vous plait, L' architecture d' Istanbul est bien devenue maintenant an objet d' intérêt internationale .

DTI can be approved this year, we just have to wait the last court decision
The brother of the sapphire (next to Ali Sami Yen Stadium) will start next year.
So, maybe in 2-3 years, Istanbul will have +300m towers

Highest building in Turkey
1974-1987 BDDK, Ankara (100m)
1987-1996 Mertim Tower, Mersin (177m)
1996-2008 Isbankasi Tower 1, Istanbul (181m)
2008-2010 Sapphire (261m)

2010-2011 Diamond of Istanbul (270m)
2011-2013 "Sapphire brother" or Tasyapi Sişli project (+/-300m)
2013- DTi Tower 1 (+300m)
BDDK building was İşbankası Tower when it was built.

And I don't have any hope about Dubai Towers

BDDK is 108m.

Btw, I can't believe you Istanbullians omitted Anthill Project (2x210m) and didn't talk about it here because you don't like it.. You really became badly spoiled with the project boom.

I advice people to come to http://www.skyscrapercity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=621 in order to see every kind of projects in Turkey and Istanbul..

Dogus and Silver follow the road opened by the Sapphire, the Diamond and other similar proposals. Tall (they both seem to be "flirting" with a 200m height). Excellent world-class designs, get them started. The Tasyapi looks like there was plagiarism on the Diamond. Good but not as good as the other designs.

There are two different projects planed over 400m, one of them is next to the new Galatasaray stadium.

Nice rendering of this new project... I like the top of the building and its great design but the lower part somehow looks quite plain...
