Hi there northern neighbours! Congratulations on a new forum!

Working titles of your sections "Projects and Constructions" and "Photography" are only temporary. We expect you to come up with new names which will be less generic and specific to this section. Keep in mind every title also has a subtitle. So for an example "Photography" forum can have a subtitle in Hungarian - "Fotográfia". Subtitle for a forum name can be made as well.

We also expect you to decide whether you want your forum to be in English or in Hungarian. English makes it more readable for foreigners but Hungarian will boost the activity. It's up to you.

I will check back in couple of days to see what have you decided. Give priority to the decision on section titles and subtitles.

not bad...but here will be mainly pics from Hungary (nem rossz, de itt tobnyire magyar varosokgbol lesznek a kepek)

this is a bit too long I think...and there will be also pictures of squares...nature...people...and so on...not only buildings (ez szerintem egy picit hosszu...es nem csak epuletek lesznek ott )

What is this fear around the new forums that the new language will somehow scare everybody away?
A foreigner doesn't need to know what every little detail is about it. Or if he does want to, I am sure nobody is stopping anyone from explaining things. When I checked the CE, all I needed were pictures, the little english people were saying here and there, and my ability to ask questions to all of you nice folks.
English is fine, but don't worry about using Hungarian when needed.

Wow, I was away for the long weekend and what do I find nowwhen returning? An own HU forum

So my opinion and ideas:

As the language, I agree with Qtya to keep English for general, and we can use Hungarian when discussing some local affairs which won't be that interesting for the others, but give them a translation or at least a short summary about everything if they want (like we did in CE).

The name of the forum could be Hungary-Magyarország for example (any more creative suggestions are welcome )

I think we need a transportation infrastructure (motorways, railroads, airports), a constructions & updates (for the Budapest, Debrecen, Székesfehérvár, Pécs, Szeged, Sopron, Győr, Miskolc and Other cities threads) and a photography section. I'd give the name "Our Hungary" to the photography section.

I think that if Slovakia has a Infrastructure section, you should have it too (Ferihegy is 5x more important than BTS, you have metro, hundreds kms of highways and so on)

so I vote for Infrastructure thread

another question...do you want to have subtitles under every english name of sub-forum? for example slovakia has only 1 slovak subtitle...but it'll be your choice

and last question - what do you want to have in your 'intro' thread? (Welcome to Hungary - now its empty)...some links to official hungarian sites? (budapest city, pick szalami, sziget fesztival, csabai kolbasz...and another world known 'hungaricons' ) or some nice pictures? or basic rules for newbies? or something else?

Bp construction... thread has more projects than the motorways and all the other cities combined together...I'm only on page 18,and it takes about 10 pages in wordpad...so I hope I'll finish the "summary" by 6, and then I want you guys to sort them, according to planned,in-progress and cancelled. Additionally, I dot have the names of several projects,so that would be helpful too. Majority of the projects only have visualizations,so basically 1 post...

Sorry but I have to follow the steps of the builders of M6...projects is delayed due to frustration because of immense amount of linking...even by the time I finish all I planned to do,the summary wont be at the level of the motorway summary. That thread is immensely huge(not by postcount,but by actual resources and "meaningful" posts),and we dont even have in it half of the constructions happening in the city.

Guys, I think we should start some real discussion about the things Singidunum asked us to do so. I've already told my ideas, now it is you turn

What we have so far: it seems that we will keep English as the main language of the forum, and use Hungarian for some local affairs, just as what I see in the past few days and like we did in the CE forum.

What we have to decide: what sections we need, and what should be their names. Do you think we should have 3 sections (projects&const., photos and infrastrucutre) or the infrastructure threads should go in the main section just like now? Or shall we have an own p&c section for Budapest?

Everybody, don't hide your ideas!
