The thread title suggests that it is being approved, but so far it's just an idea...
Why does it tell us that it will be 850 meter!? Nothing is sure about this project.

and btw I thought this tower was one of the rushed designs that are all around 600 metre height, did the height increase or has it always been 850 metres?

This morning there was a scaffold build around the board at the site, so maybe there going to put some more information on it. Will make a picture if I see something this afternoon!

By looking at the ratio of this structure it looks as though the base will be very very wide. Although this render is clearly wrong, it doesn't even look 600 metres tall.

i photoshopped the above shown render a bit. I think BMHT is right about the height. Indeed the tower doesnīt look THAT tall on the render.

I hope you like it BMHT!

yes, if the structure does keep those proportions and ends up 850m, its gonna be MASSIVE

It looks very wide because there are three towers. Actually if anything they seem too thin, thinner than any tower ever constructed in fact.
(of course I talk about height to width ratio not absolute here)

A new excellent photo that shows that construction site. It's not known yet what exactly will go there but I doubt it'll be these towers. I recon one of the EP towers maybe.

so they increased it to 850 m...higher then Burj Dubai! wow...Dubai is really overtrumping itself, and there seems to be no end to this boom( except only for a real-estate crisis, though i doubt that it'll be nearly as bad in Dubai as in the US), and there doesn't seem to be any concurrence in sight...that's just stunning !

Ok, the board mentioned on the last page is now completely covered in scaffolds, but when I drove by this morning I quickly read something about a "Groundfloor + 1 floor building" on it, so that has to be a hell of a floor to reach 850 meters ....

So you think they're building a sales centre because they had nothing better to do?
